I love the Christmas season. This year in particluar seems to be going really great. I'm just enjoying it. Yesterday was amazing. Sharar Ali-Speakes decided to become a Christian, and got baptized. It was a highlight of my life. We have been very involved with the Speakes family as Sharar has grown up, and had many, many long, hard talks about her spiritual progress. There were times when we weren't sure if she was going to make it.

But God is so faithful, and so much smarter than we are, and he loves her way more than any of us ever could. Her heart has changed so much, and she has worked through so many issues. Her parents have been so humble and willing to look at their own issues too, which made all the difference.

There were so many people there because so many people have been involved in her life. Also, I think, because everyone wants to witness a miracle.

These are the times when I really feel what a privilege it is to be able to spend my life trying to help people. I don't know why God chose me to do this, but I am so extremely grateful that he did.
